Wind Advisory Issued for Western New York Tonight

The National Weather Service in Buffalo, NY, has issued a Wind Advisory that is in effect through midnight tonight, November 20, 2024. The advisory was issued at 6:43 PM EST.
Forecasters predict that wind gusts will increase rapidly this evening, reaching speeds of 40 miles per hour or more. The strongest gusts are expected to be from the south to southwest, particularly near Lake Erie and extending inland. These strong winds are anticipated to peak during the midnight hour.
Residents are advised to take precautions as the line of showers moves across Western New York this evening.
