On May 29, 2025, at approximately 11:29 p.m., Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on LeRoy Caledonia Road in the Town of Caledonia after observing a vehicle violation. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 38‐year‐old Michael Pacer of LeRoy, Genesee County.

During the stop, Deputies suspected Pacer was under the influence of alcohol. A DWI investigation ensued and Pacer was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. While being arrested, Pacer became noncompliant and resisted the deputies.

A records check revealed that Pacer had a prior conviction for Driving While Intoxicated in January 2022, which resulted in this incident being classified as a felony.
