American Fiction Screens September 21 in Flint, Michigan

The film "American Fiction," featuring Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, and Sterling K. Brown, is set to be released in theaters on December. The film received recognition at the Toronto International Film Festival, winning the People's Choice Award.

A special showing of "American Fiction" will take place on Saturday, September 21, at 2:00 PM at the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library in Flint, Michigan. The event will include a discussion following the screening. The story centers around a novelist frustrated with the entertainment industry's exploitation of Black culture, who adopts a pen name for a book that reveals the hypocrisy and chaos he criticizes. The film is rated R.
