Flint Residents Invited to Economic Development Meetings
Staff Report / Flintlocal.org
The City of Flint is hosting a series of public input meetings regarding the Imagine Flint Comprehensive Plan. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 3 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hasselbring Senior Community Center. This session will focus on Economic Development, discussing the progress made towards achieving various objectives, including providing viable businesses with access to capital, leveraging business clusters, and diversifying Flint's economy.
These meetings will take place weekly on Thursdays until October 24, with all sessions held at the Hasselbring Senior Community Center. Residents will have the opportunity to hear updates from members of the Planning Division about the Comprehensive Plan's objectives since its adoption in 2013, detailing accomplishments and areas that require updates.
Community leaders acknowledge the changes Flint has experienced since 2013 and emphasize the need for the plan to reflect these evolving priorities. For those unable to attend the meetings in person, a survey is available to gather input on the topic.
The Comprehensive Plan can be accessed online at [City of Flint Comprehensive Plan](https://www.cityofflint.com/comprehensive-plan/), and the survey can be completed at [Public Input Survey](https://forms.gle/8UwUytHpGxcq2ETeA).
