"Public Meetings Shape Flint's Future Plans Ahead"

Staff Report / Flintlocal.org

The City of Flint is organizing a series of public input meetings to gather community feedback on the Imagine Flint Comprehensive Plan. The fourth meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the Hasselbring Senior Community Center. This meeting will focus on the topics of Infrastructure and Community Facilities, highlighting efforts to improve the reliability and efficiency of city utilities, modernize facilities, and expand blue infrastructure development.

These meetings will occur every Thursday until October 24, all at the Hasselbring Center. Residents will hear updates from members of the Planning Division regarding the progress on the plan's objectives since its adoption in 2013, discussing both accomplishments and necessary updates.

Community input is encouraged, as it is noted that the city has undergone significant changes since 2013, and it's essential for the plan to reflect the evolving priorities of Flint's residents.

For those who cannot attend in person, an online survey can be completed to share input on the topics discussed. More information, including access to the Comprehensive Plan, can be found at [City of Flint Comprehensive Plan](https://www.cityofflint.com/comprehensive-plan/). The survey is available at [Google Forms Survey](https://forms.gle/DLZ1mxme8RQiPLLN8).
