Flint Fire Department Hosts Engaging Fire Safety Activities

Staff Report / Flintlocal.org

The Flint Fire Department celebrated Fire Prevention Week by hosting activities for children from around the city. This event is part of Fire Prevention Month, which takes place in October.

During the week, the department focused on educating kids about fire safety and emergency preparedness. Activities included interactive equipment demonstrations, where children had the opportunity to tour fire trucks and ambulances, observe how firefighters prepare their gear, and participate in a fire hose demonstration.

Mayor Neeley attended the event, and the children also had a chance to meet Sparky, the National Fire Protection Association's mascot. The Flint Fire Department thanked all the participating children for their involvement in the activities.
